Chris died on September 20, 2017 in Asheville, North Carolina. In his life, that ended too abruptly, he gave his best to improving the lives of people, particularly young people. He used Open Space Technology to facilitate meetings whenever the opportunity arose as part of his work with and for young people. He authored The Heart of the Canoe: Story, Ceremony, and the Transformation of Suffering available through various online booksellers.
